Sustainability at a luxury hotel is often an afterthought — a sign on the bathroom door, a cardboard straw at the bar. We have taken a different approach: every choice at Aurevil, from the building's geothermal heating to the linens on the bed, is made with a long-term lens.
Ninety percent of the produce served in our restaurant is grown within forty kilometres of the house. Our toiletries are refilled by hand from local apothecaries; our beekeeper provides the honey. The hotel runs on one hundred percent certified renewable electricity.
None of this should be felt by the guest — and that is the point. Genuine sustainability, done well, is invisible. It simply makes everything quieter, calmer, and a little more honest.
